OUR FILTER SYSTEM
BELON works differently from other gravity filters: there is no plastic tank. The funnel filters directly into the carafe or bottle you serve from.
The funnel comes with a filter and its stand. The carafe is optional. If you already own a carafe you love, use it.
HOW TO USE
TEST DATA
BELON is tested to NSF/ANSI standards through IAPMO R&T, an accredited certification body. These are the performance tests certification is built on. They measure how well the filter actually filters. Every report is published here in full.
BELON is not yet certified. Full certification adds materials safety testing on every component that touches water, review of every claim we publish, factory audits and annual re-verification. We plan to certify BELON. It takes time and real investment.
WHO RUNS THESE TESTS
NSF/ANSI standards are public. Three accredited bodies test and certify against them: NSF International, IAPMO R&T and WQA. A certification from any of the three carries the same standing. BELON's testing runs through IAPMO R&T.

MICROPLASTICS
Tested in accordance with NSF/ANSI 42, Class I particulate filtration — particles 0.5 to <1 micron, smaller than any particle defined as a microplastic. This is the protocol NSF designates as the basis for microplastics reduction claims.
